When I logged on this afternoon, I was shocked I hadn't written a post since April! Life is just passing by too quickly. I've been sorting the girls' clothes (taking out the winter; putting in the summer), and I am totally surprised by how many articles of clothes don't fit anymore. When did they grow 3 whole sizes?? No one sent me the memo. I want them to stay little forever, but it's not gonna happen. I hope my girls will have happy memories of being little. I know I always will.
The first day of summer break, we went to an A's game. It was totally fun and totally cold. On our BART ride back to the hotel, there was a "medical emergency" (suicide on the train) that threw a wrench in the BART schedules. It was late. We were in an unfamiliar place with "stinky cigarettes" (pot...people are so brazen!). Ten (Well...nine. I was not participating in the problem solving) white people trying to figure out an alternate route back to our hotel. Raychel's anxiety presented as tears of worry about Jade. Tammy and Nate were taking care of her. You know you have good friends when you can call at midnight and ask about a pet. Tammy assured us Jade was fine, and Raychel collected herself.
Katsup-y mustard-y hot dogs (followed by churros, cotton candy, Dibs, kettle corn, peanuts, and rope licorice). Yum.
My girls LOVE the water. Tahoe is where the fun is.
After-Tahoe-Thaw. Hot sidewalks never felt so good!
Anna and Leah were cast as Thing 1 and Thing 2 for "Seussical". I dare say it is the role they were born for!
Family Reunion 2014 was in California this year. San Juan Batista. We had to stop along the way for double scoops of ice cream.
Pool with Grandpa
Tire swings
Keep away with Daddy
Exploring an old Mission
I loved this...the door, the brick, the steps
Volleyball time. Raychel's signature pose: thumbs up.
The gang
Learning from the master
Santa Cruz was amazing
We decided to take the hit in the wallet and buy some tickets for rides. Besides our "memorable" trip to Disney, the girls have never been on "real" rides. It was a good investment.
Coming off the swings...exhilarating!
"That was AWESOME!"
James met a new friend.
Can't wait for the next ride.
(Cue evil laughing) Real Deal Roller Coaster.
$15 of own money for face painting=great investment?
No fear...walked right into the ocean
Classic Anna and Leah. Always together. Always holding hands.
This is how Raychel spent her time...scavenging for treasures.
Anna kindly wiping off that expensive face painting masterpiece.
