Christmas Joy

I love Christmas!  I love everything about it.  I also love pictures.  I love everything about them.  Lately, I've been using my phone to take pictures almost as much (if not more than) my "real" camera.  Good ol' James spent about 2 hours tonight trying to figure out how to transfer all 386 (ballpark) pictures from my phone to the computer.  This should be easy.  BUT with my lack of ANY tech knowledge and his lack of ANY cell phone knowledge, we're a bad team.  Luckily, we finally figured it out.  I must say, James will always help me if he can.  However, he will never help me (with picture stuff, especially) without a few (and I mean a lot) of jabs about why on earth I need to be doing this.  I'll sweetly look at him and tell him his complaining isn't getting my pictures transferred any faster.   HAHA!  Love that man.
Anna's drawing reminding us all what Christmas is really about.
We went to a holiday party that had a chocolate fountain.  My girls were in love.  Raychel would have probably bathed in it.  haha!  I keep trying to convince Nana she NEEDS one.
Our dear friend, Zelf dropped by for the month.
More holiday parties.  Here we are at Papa's work making pine cone bird feeders.

The economical version of the "Polar Express".

Nana looks like a porcelain doll.
Santa, do you really need your transition lenses on for pictures?  Like I said, It was the Polar Express on a budget.  We can't be too picky here.
School programs.  Anna and Leah gladly posed with their friends.

Raychel's like, "I hate my life, and you're humiliating, Mom."  But I don't really care.
 Christmas Eve.  DARLING Raych.
 It's a shame Leah wasn't more excited...
 Our May
THIS is a good Dad!  He sat with Anna and figured out "Rainbow Loom".  It's a...thingie...where you can assemble friendship bracelets from tiny rubber bands.  Well, it was a pain.  There were tears and random shouts of "These people need to be shot who invented this" along the way, but they worked through it.  Now we all have 47 bracelets to show for it.  By the way...the tears were from James.  haha!  Kidding!
James and I put together a playroom for the girls.

The girls are all about maps right now.  This one covers an entire wall.  It's really cool!

Christmas Morning!!  See all that See's candy Santa left for me?  I'm starting to think Santa is a "Chubby Chaser".

 Christmas morning breakfast.

New Year's Day ice skating with friends.  I love how all of my pictures are of them clinging to the wall.  They all ventured out, and they all "ate it" multiple times.  Bruised butts, literally.

Notice how I'm wearing those toe picks for shoes.  No ice skates for me, thank you very much.  A cast on my arm would just be too cumbersome at this point in time.
Happy New Year!  Enjoying a traditional meal of ham, cornbread and black eyed peas.

Hey, we got that same huge map for Christmas! My sis sent it to us. We mounted it onto a piece of Styrofoam insulation board and the kids have loved looking at it and quizzing each other.

Also, I love your snarky comment about Santa's Transitions glasses!
