Creative

Raychel's teacher challenged her to write a poem for the "Reflections Contest" at school. My Roo is a very smart girl, but she sometimes struggles with the creative. Her teacher said she was very hesitant to write a poem because those activities are very challenging to her. She's her Dad, what can I say? She'll make an excellent Neonatologist one day.
:-) Anyway, she ended up WINNING 2nd place in the contest! Her poetry is on display in the main hall of the school. Here is what the poem said:
Friends Can Be Together
By: Raychel Roylance
Friends can love each other like a sister or a brother
Friends can sing and dance
Friends can laugh and prance
Thank goodness for good teachers who help us think and try new things outside of our comfort zones.

Miss. Anna has some of her artwork displayed as well. She has turned into quite the artist this year. She is always bringing home paintings, sculptures, and writings. Leah is more concerned with playing and being social.

Notice the pattern at the top of the page. This is a picture of her family.

Leah goes, "How about me, Mom?" Funny story. The other night, I heard Anna crying in her room. I went in, and noticed both girls were crying. I said to Anna, "What's wrong? What do you need?" She told me her ear hurt, and she needed medicine. I told her I would go get her some. I went to the bottom bunk and asked Leah why she was crying. She had her hands on her face, and in a dramatic fashion, she threw her hands down and goes, "I just want some sleep!!!" HAHAHA!! I was trying so hard not to laugh! I said, "Yes, I understand. Anna will go to sleep once I give her some medicine." I went and told James about that, and we were both laughing thinking about them being little babies. Yes, I think some nights we both threw our hands down and said, "I just want some sleep!"

And the big-two-wheel-riding-girl had her first crash. She handled it like a pro. Very few tears, and got right back on the bike. By the way, this is Raychel's JAM right now!
