Take Me Out To The Ball Game!

Tonight we took the girls to an Ace's game in Reno. This was their first game, and they did great! I was lucky enough to have a cup of mustard thrown on me (accidentally)...all over my hair, glasses, face and shirt. As "nice" as that was, I felt pretty bad for the lady who dropped her $45 worth of food on the stairs. We also had a real treat of a dude sitting behind us. Apparently in his opinion, no one should talk or move during a baseball game. Needless to say, we weren't his favorite people. He enlightened us with negative mumbling throughout the entire 9 innings. I felt myself missing our friends Brian and Cecilee. Our A's games are some of the best memories I have! Again...OOC with the pictures. Our first Ace's baseball game. Let the fun begin!

Part of the party. Me-N-Mr. Classic Raychie Roo face. Deep in thought.

Anna and Gwant

Miss. Leah

Sweet seats

I don't think Kristin likes Mitchell...at all! ;-)

Respectfully listening to the National Anthem.

Nachos for dinner. Nutritious and Delicious!

Anna and May got on the Jumbotron! So exciting!

Leah was totally sad she didn't get on TV. I said, "Ok, what would you do if you were on TV? I'll take a picture of it." This was what she would have done in front of 7,000 people, apparently.

The girls were obsessed with "Ernie" AKA "Archie". They totally wanted to meet him. When we caught up to him, Raychel was the only one brave enough to get a picture.

Leah is saying, "Get that freakin' thing away from me...NOW!" Not literally, but I'm sure she would have said something like that if she could have gotten any words out of her mouth. I love her eyes filled with tears of terror and her mouth covered in dry nacho cheese. I'm the nicest Mommy ever to take a picture in her time of need. Haha!

Anna and Leah spent the rest of the game keeping a close eye on the where abouts of "Ernie", and thinking, "He best not be comin' over here!"

The awesome fireworks watching glasses.

Raychel and the love of her life, Nana. Sorry Papa, you're just Nana's arm candy to this girl. :-)

After the game, the kids can run the bases if they want. The girls were excited until (cue evil, dramatic music) "Ernie" was spotted on the field. Leah's waterworks began again, and she waited safely at the top. I know these pictures are blurry, but I was so far away, and I was trying to weave around hundreds of people.

The longer Raychel ran, the more she realized what a nuisance her socks and shoes were.

So why not just remove them and leave them on the field, right?

We are sitting here reading your blog and Brian and I agree that the A's games were some of our best memories too! Miss those days.... Looks like you had a great time at the game (despite the rude guy behind you).

Love those girls! The twins are like May with Archie :) Hahahaha! She must be so proud. Did Raych really leave her shoes on the field? Did you get them back?
