My mom is always treating the girls to goodies from the store (such a good nana!). Her latest purchase has provided the girls with the most entertainment. The prize: $5 nurf guns. It was so funny because my girls are such...well, girls. They haven't mastered the skills of "taking cover", "ducking", and "sneaking up on the opponent". My role during battle was the coach...or the "General". I kept saying to Leah, "DUCK, DUCK,LEAH, DUCK!" She popped up from her hiding place and goes, "GOOSE!" Hahaha! James was such a good sport to play along. The ratio was 3 to 1. Anna seemed to have pity on poor ol' dad. She joined ranks with him.
Here she is laying out the war plans. She goes, "Dad, I tell you when a girl's comin'!" James said he had to come to battle on horseback.
Anna was a "flip flopper". Here she is guiding Raychel to safety.
Ride away, Raych!

very fun...i love that your girls are all in their Sunday best to go to war-as you say "never know when a great photo op might just show up"!
I agree Darcy....this is just to precious. I love how you took the time to capture the moment. The whole time I was reading this post I thought of these little girls growing up and looking back in their photos and seeing the wonderful relationship and love their father has for them. its priceless Ali. You have a beautiful family, and though your blog is in writing for our eyes to read, it's in the heart that it really touches and impacts. Its beautiful.
