Party Like A Rock Star

Actually, rock stars only wish they could party like us. :-) We decided to take the girls to Tahoe for some New Years Eve sledding. The weather was perfect, and we were lucky enough to find our own secluded hill that was just right for us.

Walking up the hills can be tiring work. Thank goodness we brought Dad along to help ease the burden.

James got to the top after pulling the girls for a while and says, "Alright, I'm ready to go now." Yeah right, Dad!

Sisters

I love this picture of Leah! So candid, and so her!

Taking in all the action.

Ready to go down with Dad.

Roo

Everyone needs a hand sometimes.

Anna's turn.

I love her smile as she is headed down.

Raychel threw this snowball at me after I took this picture. It went down my coat AND down my shirt. Just a little bit chilly.

Our friends Nate and Eric went sledding with us as well.

Anna really wanted a turn on "the sausage". AKA "The Saucer".

WEEEEE!!!

This picture is for Papa. Look at those tear filled eyes. She needed some love from her main man. This was our only casualty of the trip. Leah was riding in the back of the sled, hit a bump, and smacked in to the head in front of her. After a few tears, she was ready to go again.

Dad and his favorite ladies.
Happy New Year!

Every year I question the thought of taking the kids sledding....but they have so much fun. It is so much fun to see the happiness of them going down the hill. It is a lot of work (and this winter I refuse to go without Chad) but it is a great memory the kids will never forget. You are a great Mom! Miss ya.

I was laughing looking at the first few pictures, because James has no head in them, but then in the later ones he does.

Looks like a fun day! I love reading about your kids, your family, and your adventures on your blog!

Oh, also, IF the weather and timing cooperate, the little hill at Eagle Valley MS are fantastic for sledding. Not too long to hike up, not too steep to go down. Just right.

Just something to keep in mind for when the snow comes again and the timing's just right.

It's hard work hiking up and down the hill for perfect photo opportunities! :] So glad that my girls have a good mom and dad to take them on fun adventures!

Jen-Thank you for the new location idea! I hope we get some more fresh snow soon. Joanna- Yes, James is quite handy to have around for the "manual labor". HA HA!
