Mama and Ali probably 1981. What I love about this picture is my mom's smile. She looks so happy to be where she is at that exact moment.
My Nana and me. This was taken when my Nana came to stay when Amanda was born. I wanted someone to read "Lassie Come Home" to me, and my Nana dropped what she was doing to read it to me.
I love my mother-in-law. She loves me and accepts me the way I am. She never criticizes me or looks down on my way of doing things. Can anyone ask for more in a mother-in-law? I don't think so!What is the most important lesson your mom has taught you?
I am so thankful to my mom for teaching me how to love. In my opinion, none of us are born knowing how to love, nurture and care for others. I think those qualities have to be taught and shown to us. I never fully appreciated this gift until I had my own children. One night when I was up late taking care of Raychel, I was so tired. I was pregnant with the twins, and Raychel was in the midst of yet another barfing episode. As I was holding, rocking, and cuddling my sick baby,I just remember thinking, "I am so thankful I know how to take care of her." I know how to take care of my girls because my mom took care of me. How thankful I am to my mom for being that example of love.

Raychel looks just like you in that picture of you and your Nana! How sweet!
I'm so thankful for our mama! I'm grateful she's taught us so many things. How to love, how to clean and be clean, how to make sure we look nice; clean clothes, nicely ironed, how to put on makeup. Everything! Everything worth knowing, I've learned from our mama!
It is so important to have strong women in our lives. I remember getting a note from your mom one Sunday when I was feeling not so strong!! It made me feel like no matter what....my kids and teaching them what's right is most important!! I am thankful for your Mom too!! =]
