I should have titled this entry "technical difficulties". I love computers until they start breaking down and telling me about all these "errors" that are occurring. The computer I use was purchased when James started his MBA...in 2003. I remember when that Dell arrived in the mail...it had a flat screen. Oh my gosh! Cutting edge of technology! Miss. Dell saw James through his degree, and she's seen me through files upon files of photos. Alas, her life is coming to an end...the old hard drive ain't what it used to be. Typically, James is very patient with me, EXCEPT when notifying him about computer problems. I like to think I am very patient with James EXCEPT when listening to his "I don't want to deal with your dumb computer and millions of pictures tantrums". It's safe to say, he'll cater to my demands even though he's (extremely) grumpy about it. So here we are...I've been permitted to work on Miss. Dell 2.0. James' portal into WoW world. It's like I've been granted access to the oval office. Some women may say, "I knew my husband loved me when he...did the dishes, rubbed my feet, brought me flowers (you fill in the blank). This wife would say, "I know my husband loved me when he let me work on HIS computer." Unconditional love, people. He's totally into me.
None of these pictures are in order, I apologize. After 72 hours of technical difficulty, I was in no mood to put these pictures in the correct order...mainly because it wasn't an easy fix for me. So...here we go. Jacob was getting baptized, so we all went to St. George to participate in the ordinance. Abby is my homegirl. Why she likes me so much, I do not know, but I'll take that kind of affection any day!
It's a shame Chris refuses to smile. haha!
"We miss you Uncle Grant!"
Dad- Next time you purchase glasses be sure to request that fancy anti-glare coating.
Leah and her most favorite guy.
Leah and Nick
Reading stories at the hotel while our room is getting cleaned. Do you ever feel like such a pig when you walk in on the people that are cleaning your hotel room? I feel like I need to offer to help, but I just go roam the halls...you know since that makes more sense. hahaha!
Southern Utah has got to be one of the most beautiful places on the planet. All that red rock is just gorgeous. The green shrubbery just pops against that coloring. I love it!
After the baptism, we had a little luncheon at the park...with lots of little grasshopper friends. Raychel loved sneaking up on them and covering them with a deli sandwich tray lid. James caught one so the kids could all get really close to it.
Leah refused to go near the grasshopper, and started crying. Why does that behavior make me want to place the grasshopper on her shoulder? I get the giggles just thinking about it. Does that make me a wicked mom?
Nick enjoying some fruit...
WHAT THE?!
I guess this lady is where I get my wicked sense of humor from. My mom had just placed a dead moth on Amy's shirt. Upon discovery, Amy had a nice flapping hands freak out session. Teasing is so fun when you're the one dishing it out.
Anyone remember doing the butterfly in elementary school?
Pool time! No trip to a hotel is complete without adequate time in the pool.
Raychel goes, "I look like Chew-A-Baca".
Thankfully, James is the best Dad ever and always swims.
A little sight seeing at Snow Canyon.
Raychel loved the pillowy soft sand.
James goes, "Don't get my dorky socks in that picture." Oops. We decided last minute to hike around a little. I only brought flip flops. James graciously let me wear his Asics while he wore his church shoes with white tube socks and shorts. What a guy!
The girls had a blast! They love hiking.
Trying to climb up the pillowy soft sand was a little challenging.
We love our May May! This is the best picture!
Bed head
Leah had a sunburn that was in the peeling stages. She was getting pampered with a skin peel treatment in the back of the van.
When we arrived, we learned that Ironman (a triathlon) was happening the weekend we were there. James casually wondered if Doug and Trudy were down. Low and behold, they were! Doug was participating. We had dinner together. It was a fun, impromptu visit with additional family members.
P.S. I just want to say thank you for all the understanding and sympathy with the PSA post! Loved reading the comments!
