Today Grant graduated from high school. Doesn't seem real. This picture above will always be the way I remember my Grant.
Just for fun, I thought I'd add a photo from my graduation. The set up hasn't changed much since 1998.
As much as I love Grant as my brother, I think my girls love him even more as an Uncle. He is always so kind to happily share everything. His belongings...
His gentleness...
And his affection. We couldn't be prouder of Grant! His plan is to stay local, work and leave for a mission this fall. A mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The next big excitement will be waiting for his call. No doubt he will bless the lives of those he serves. He has so much to offer!
Here come the graduates...
Our boy! Side note: Look at how handsome Grant looks with his white shirt and tie. Sharp. Ready to be a contributing member of society. SO many of the boys today looked like such slobs. Hello, I don't want to see your hairy, white legs, ankle socks and dirty Vans. Supposedly, this is one of the most important days of your life. Why don't you show up to the occasion and at least look like you made an effort. Trust me, you're not impressing anyone with that "swagger" and attitude that the world can suck it now that you've graduated. Put on some freaking pants and comb your freaking hair! Ok, I'm done now.
"Oh, my baby boy!!!"
That diploma looks good on you!
Gotta love that Nevada wind, right Mom?
Right after the ceremony, we had to jet to an event so Raychel could perform her "funky monkey" routine with her dance group. This dude and 3 of his friends were performing before the little guys. He was 85 and clogging to country songs. Rock on, brotha, rock on! I hope I'm as cool (and as mildly embarrassing) at 85!
My cute monkey
We had to enjoy a snow cone after the show.
Time to attack Papa. Trust me, he was just sitting there asking for it.
Do you know how to milk a grasshopper? Don't ever let this man show you that trick. You will end up with a shocked look on your face (like this) and a throbbing finger. Don't even get me started with "turkey on a log".
It's a shame no one likes him.
This girl loves the camera! How adorable is she?
More "attack Papa"
He almost got a skinny foot to the side of the face...after that grasshopper prank he pulled, I say he deserved it! hahaha!
Grant's turn!
Love Jacob with his thumbs up!
Going to dinner, crammed in the back seat of a minivan. Good times, good times.
Congratulations, Grant!! The "real" world will never be the same!

You do have do amazing brother, but what could I expect from an amazing family. I will always remember how kind and patient he was with all the goof ball boys in the ward, including my son! His influence will not be forgotten.
Grant looks great! I know your Mom must have been an emotional wreck about having her baby graduate.
Your blog is the only one I read and show to Brian. We just sit here and laugh at your posts and enjoy hearing your voice and opinions that we both know and love! I can just hear you saying that about the boys at graduation. .....and so true. Your family looks well and the kids are all getting so big. Can't believe we've been gone for 6 years!
