Is it just me, or does the month of May seem to be as hectic as December? Here is a bunch-a pictures documenting the month. Here is Miss. Raychel getting ready to perform with her gymnastics team to "Funky Monkey." Isn't she the most darling funky monkey you've ever seen!
Her little buns are monkey ears.
I still have not figured out how to take good pictures in low light, with movement, with my paparazzi lens. This was the best I could do!
I was so proud of her! There is this P&G commercial circulating on the Internet right now. It follows these mothers throughout the world getting their kids up for their "event" each day. After all the years of hard work and practice, it shows these mothers sitting at the Olympics watching their children compete. Obviously, they are filled with emotional pride as the cheer on their gymnast/swimmer/runner. Well, I feel like a P&G mom quite often. My heart was swollen with emotion during the "Funky Monkey"...a gold medal has nothing on that!
Anna and Leah made their acting debut in "My Son Pinocchio" this month too. May I just say they were the CUTEST things ever! They were cast as "the perfect twins", and I think they lived up to that title very well. Here we are getting all primped for opening night. Yes, they were perfect getting their hair and makeup done. They have been brought up right...haha!
Ta-Da!
Nana and Papa front row, opening night.
Anna (again...low light, lots of movement, paparazzi lens)
Leah
The Perfect Twins!
"DADDY!" (their line)
Taking a bow.
To my surprise, Anna and Leah were SO popular. Amy and I were responsible for the back stage for one of the shows. Amy says, "Geeze, being connected to Anna and Leah is like being a celebrity...like I'm one of the cool kids." They really enjoyed the theater.
Bouquets of flowers celebrating a job well done.
Grant experienced an important high school milestone...prom! Analiza has been his buddy since preschool.
Such a handsome young man.
Anna and Leah turned SIX.
Young and wild and free
Ahhh, time for the fake smiles to begin.
Birthday girls lunch request: Diet Coke and Ramen.
Raychel had a piano recital.
She's getting so good! I love listening to her play.
That same day we had Anna and Leah's birthday party at Bouncerz...per their request. They wanted to be matching from head to toe. No influence from me.
BFF's
Cupcake time! We always have to sing happy birthday twice. Leah first since she's technically the oldest.
Anna next!
My "crafty" pinwheels.
Mother's Day 2012
Next Mother's Day, we'll all be sitting by the phone waiting for our phone call from Grant from somewhere in the big world!
I think Grant's taller than Papa now.
