The most wonderful time of year has come to a close...YAY!! haha! It's very well known I'm not a fan of Halloween. As I was getting ready to post this, I thought, "Gee, for someone who hates Halloween, I sure have A LOT of pictures!" Here are some highlights of our celebration.
Party at Ali's! I had a little party with all my day-care kiddos. We had to have a traditional pose by the pumpkin shot. Anna.
"Baby Colin"
Grady Man
Miss. Lex
Leah
Parker

Lucas
Jazzy
A fine, festive feast...pumpkin PB&J, Halloween chips, and apple slices.
Sitting down to enjoy a spooky story.
This was the highlight of the party...for me, anyway. I had conspired with Grant to jump out and scare everyone at a certain point in the story. What was SO great was the fact that the boys kept saying "This isn't spooky! I'm not scared, Ali!" When Grant rounded the corner, they were flapping their arms, and they were so surprised, they couldn't even get a scream out. The girls started laughing...except Anna. As you can see, she's looking at me like, "How dare you! I will NEVER forgive you for this act of torture! You are a wicked, wicked woman!" Yeah...yeah, I'm a wicked woman. I'll own it.
"This is bull crap! I hate all y'all!"
Spectacular face painting
Pumpkin rice crispie treats. Yeah, that's my artistic handiwork right there. HA!!
Trunk-or-Treat. As I was editing these photos, Leah was watching. When her pictures came up, she says, "(sigh), I just love myself! Don't you think I'm so cute?" Indeed, Leah. Indeed. Please ALWAYS love yourself!
Leah's obsession with ladybugs continues. She LOVES them! This was her costume from last year. So nice to recycle!
Anna the scary spider queen.
On Halloween night, we amped up the hair and painted it bright purple. That was a fun costume!
My pretty princess, Rapunzel. We added the Pascal and frying pan to make it more authentic.
She looks so grown up in this picture!
I will say, I love getting all "Toddlers and Tiaras" with the girls. I love doing all this hair and makeup! It's fun to be creative and have these girls with their own cute ideas.
Poor Brookie! She missed most of the photo shoot because she got sick right in the middle of her hair and makeup. She decided going home was NOT an option. So we finished up really quick, and went to the party. I love the rocker pose! She works it well.
My "sista from another mista", Bon Bon. Her family is my family! Brookie got baptized this Halloween weekend! How I love her. It was so special to be a part of that important day in her life. At dinner that night, I asked all the girls what the best part of their day was. Raychel said, "Seeing my BFF get baptized." Made me choke up a bit!
Pumpkin carving. May this be a tradition that DIES. I love these faces! HAHAHAHA! Gooey, snotty pumpkin guts. Yummy.
Raychel kept flinging her hands and getting stringy pumpkin everywhere. She's not my adventurous sensory child.
Anna goes, "This is freakin' nasty!" hahahahaha!
Carving time.
Anna's pride and joy.
Raychel's finished product.
I love how Leah had to have eyelashes on her lady pumpkin.
Yeah, James. He is laughing because he just pelted me in the chest with a marshmallow. I'm just sitting there innocently taking pictures and BAM! He's such a turd, but I love him.
My girl.
I love these two. I have no idea what they were cracking up about, but they are always laughing. Makes me happy to see them enjoy life.
These marshmallow guns have been so fun for everyone. They were from family reunion 2010.
Eerie glow of the jack-o-lanterns.
Spooky
Creepy!
On a final note, I'll have you know that our carved pumpkins were STOLEN on Halloween night. Yes, stolen. Thankfully, not smashed on my porch or anything. I was obviously, madder than a wet hen (or whatever that saying is). No one messes with my kids! Not to mention, that is just so rude! What were these thieves going to do with the handiwork of 5 and 7 year olds? SO the next day I was expressing my disgust to James. I said, "I can hardly wait for these punks to grow up and have kids of their own. Then when their children are upset when someone steals their pumpkins, they'll know first hand what a, jerky thing that was to do." His response, "My friends and I always used to do that!" WHAT?? You mean to tell me my husband was that "punk". Oh, he filled me in on all the pranks he and his friends played with STOLEN pumpkins. So he got a stern lecture from me about how that was inappropriate. How did he respond? Just scroll up to that picture of him with the marshmallow gun. He was deeply affected by my reproach.

Such adorable, fun pictures Ali! Your girls just keep getting cuter. I love all their costumes. Wow!
I LOVE that picture of James smiling! Isn't it funny how our guys have to be doing something sinister to get a good smile?
I love your pictures! The girls are growing up so fast. I had to laugh at the James conversation...Derek was that same punk!!!! Seriously:0
That picture of James is priceless: His look is so filled with love for you!
