Remember last year when my mom and I took off on an impromptu visit to the Sacramento zoo? Well, this summer, we did the same thing...only 10 X bigger! My dad had a meeting to attend in Seattle, and we were lucky enough to get an invite to join them (Well, I may have invited myself, but with family it's all the same, right?) Thank goodness James is so good to us, and just says, "Go and have fun." He had to stay behind and work.

We took off Monday afternoon, and made it to Seattle at 4:30 Tuesday morning. My poor dad had to sit though boring meetings all day while his ladies (and gentleman) got to sleep the trip off. I vaguely remember waking up around 2 AM (driving through Portland) and eating a package of E.L.Fudge cookies. I hope I was dreaming. That flash of memory is still haunting me. I must say, I love my mom. She makes everything fun!

The next day we got up and headed to downtown Seattle. I have to admit, I loved Seattle. It's such a fun city. I loved the market, and all the fresh produce. All the tables set up with random homemade crap goodies. My kind of place. I love my sweet Raychel's face.

The beautiful bouquet of flowers was only $5!!

Here's some of our random crap goodies. Raychel loves these bun-maker things. She loved picking out her fabrics. I learned this trip that her favorite color is purple.

Pretty Princesses

Raychel buying some caramels all by herself. So grown up.

Anna and Leah were just dancing around in the middle of an open area. Not a care or concern in the world!

We ate dinner at a little restaurant that was In Sleepless In Seattle: Athenian. Grant is sitting where Tom Hanks sat.

BTW: (Or if you're my dad, you say "B T Dub-Ya) There were some killer deals that day at Old Navy that day.

More views of Seattle.

Great Pictures! Looks like alot of fun!
Love the picture of your folks walking hand in hand. They are so precious! Your girls look as adorable as ever - I love to see them discover all the different joys in life - like dancing in an open pavilion & writing in the sand. How great to be a child! You're so good to make sure they get to have these adventures!
I am so glad you got to go! Looks like so much fun! I am thinking we need to rent that beach house for a week next summer! Wouldn't that be fun! The kids would love it!
I love all your pictures! I can't wait until we go to Seattle next month. I'm sorry that Tillamook was such a disappointment:/ How could they be out of squeaky cheese?
What a fun trip though:)
LOVE all the pictures! I'm definatly going to have to go next year. Love the swept away to sea comment. Thats so mom :) I could comment on every picture, but I won't bore you. Love you and miss you!
Ok, I can't resist a couple more comments...
First of all, I highly doubt you ate an ENTIRE package of E.L. Fudge. You would have at least saved a couple for the girls :)
Second, Anna, I totally would have been a fraidy cat too. Thats my girl.
Third, I love the picture of mom and dad and the phone. I'm sure she was reading over a facebook comment she had written (for the fourth time)
Fourth, love the picture of dad standing by himself. So dad. And I'm sure you had to yell right behind him to pull him out of his deep thought moment.
Fifth, Grants seroius picture looks great! Are you going to do his senior pictures?
I think I'm done now :)
Oh, and your pictures of Seattle totally look like the beginning of Greys Anatomy. Hahaha!
next to Tuscany and SF i think Seattle is my favoritest place to go! it even smells good!
Great pictures Alison! The ones of just the city are really great. Clear, focused, you nailed it. I also really like the one of the 3 girls with Seattle buildings blurry! Very nice! But my very favorite picture is the one of all 3 girls holding hands looking at the ocean. You edited it nicely, and the idea is perfect. Seriously you need to develop that huge and hang it on the wall. Maybe canvas or something because its priceless! Great job!
How fun! Looks like you had such a great time, and got some great pictures, especially those on the coast.
I love Seattle too, but only in the summer. Rains too much the rest of the year. Its a great place to visit. Glad you are having so much fun this summer!
