Better Late Than Never

We made it! We always try and make it to the pumpkin patch every fall. This year we waited until the last weekend in October. It was a beautiful day. Warm enough to not need a coat, yet cool enough not to sweat. Perfect! Of course I had to make the occasion a photo op. Dang. My girls are NOT fans of posing for the camera. I added some "out takes" for your viewing pleasure.Yeah, hi, the sun was not THAT bright!

Grant and his friend...that happens to be a girl. :-)
Brookie
We went through the corn maze this year. A first for us.
These are the kind of "smiles" I'm working with. She's like, "Kill. Me."
Raychel actually thought my mom was going to eat that moldy corn.
So many treasures to find!
Trying really hard to "laugh". Ha. Ha. Ha.
Nothing like the comfort of a good friend by your side.

Cue the Dora song, "We did it!" We made it out alive!

"Bawk, Bawk, Bawk!"
Raychel reminiscing about the time she stuck her finger in the hole and a chicken "bit" her finger. "Sissies do NOT stick your fingers in those holes! A chicken will bite you!"
Anna

Leah
Leah OWNS that look!
Little Roylance Girl Face. "I'm being tortured with the camera! I refuse to look at you mom! I refuse to smile normally! Maybe if I make enough faces like this, you will give up!" Amy and I were cracking up posing like my girls. Hahaha!
Finally...something FUN!

Now THIS is a great smile!
So here we have May demonstrating the "I am scared my mom will beat me smile."
Which is usually followed in the next shot with the "Eyes closed/nostrils flared, my mom is going to beat me smile."
Sweet and blurry
Proud Papa with his warty pumpkin he found in the maze. May had a fantastic idea. They should rename it the "Corn Maize". The slogan, "You'll have an a MAIZEing time!" Har. Har.
Yup, this looks about right.
Thank goodness for Papa and his magical, farting hands trick.
Hayride time! Raychel looks absolutely thrilled! "Mom, do us all a favor and throw your camera over the side if this thing!"

Now this is how you do a "fake" smile. Story: I was asking my mom to take a picture of my dad and me while the girls were picking pumpkins. Some sweet little, old lady (with her tight permed hair and teal trench coat) said, "Would you like me to take a picture of all of you?" Sure! I hand her my camera, and she finally figures out the right button to push. She says, "One, Two, Three, Sex!" EWWWW!!! That word should never escape the wrinkled lips of a senior citizen. My mom and I are spot on, "Haha! That was HI-larious!" My dad has more of the, "Yikes, Granny! We want to smile, not vomit!"
The Pick of the Patch!
Criss Cross Applesauce
"Help. Me."
Brookie always loves a picture!

...and I give up now.

I LOVE your hair! So cute! And the girls always look cute no matter what face they are making :) You'll have to remember that sex trick for when the girls are teenagers. Haha!

I'm totally giggling looking at those! I love the picture before the one that Dad helped with...CLASSIC! It was a fun day, thanks for the invite :]

I guess you need to just get fart in a jar to keep in your camera bag haha!

p.s. you didn't tell me about that old woman! NASTY. Even worse because I saw her and her cigarette smoke stained teeth and fingers. As dad would say, "YARG!!"
