James found this cute little creature outside when he was doing yard work. I'm proud to say he actually got the girls to hold it! This girl certainly wouldn't touch it. I was too busy holding the camera, you know...

Dad: Look, a lizard! Isn't it neat?
Leah: Ummm, no, not really.
Anna: Yeah, but I'm keeping my hands clenched in a fist.

Dad: Come on! Don't you want to hold him?
Anna: Seriously, no.
(As I look at this picture I am reminded of a time with my own dad. It was 1980-something, and I was being "strongly encouraged" to hold a fish.)

Dad: Well, just come look at him. He won't hurt you. It will tickle.
Anna: Fine, But my hands are staying BEHIND my back. Don't try and pull any fast moves, Dad.

Anna: Well, ok...
(LOVE Leah!)
Leah: Holy crap! I can't believe you are actually doing this!

Leah: Well, since you're not freaking out, I can come a little closer.
P.S. Leah picked her shirt and popped the collar on her own. She says, "It look cute like this, Mom?" Of course.

Dad: Now, just hold your hand still
Anna: It tickles!

Anna: Not so bad.
I love that proud smile!

Dad: Let's let Leah have a turn.

Leah was a little more apprehensive.

Dad: Now, just let him crawl on your finger.

Leah: I am seriously doing this right now!

Leah: Lizard, don't you dare run up my arm. I will go ballistic!
