Spring Break

Raychel's interpretation of the trip.Wal-Mart. 10 PM. Jammies. We had to make a run to Wal-Mart as soon as we got there. I realized that I had forgotten to pack Raychel her underwear. She had to wear some of Jacob's and she was NOT happy about it."Monsters of Aliens" That what Raychel kept calling that movie. Amanda and I took all five kids by ourselves. It wouldn't have been bad, but the snack line was super long and super slow. By the time we got our goodies the movie had started and it was pitch black in the theater. That was an adventure getting 5 little kids to hold their popcorn and drinks up the long flight of stairs. We made it, and we were cracking up (and sweating profusely) but the time we sat down. Chris and Anna. You can't be too close for good cartoons.

Cowfolk. Raychel and Jacob were so cute playing cowboy/cowgirl and riding their stick horses. They had these hats on most of the week. By the way, those are the best chocolate chip cookies known to man. From Grandma Tobler's bakery. Delish!

The world's coolest Uncle! Grant picked out all the nieces and nephews shirts. Roxy shirts for the girls. Volcom shirts for the boys. He plays with them so well!Leah and her Wal-Mart nightgown. She just had to have this particular piece when we made our Wal-Mart run. Didn't leave her body for most of the trip.

TPT slip-n-slide. Vinyl tablecloth and a hose. What more could you ask for?

So Saturday...Jacob's birthday. We had some big plans. Lunch at Marv's (a 1950's style hamburger joint), park for play, then cupcakes and presents. As we were walking out of Marv's, Amanda took a "digger" if you will. She and Jeff went to the Urgent Care where she got 5 stitches in her elbow. Plus her knee was all messed up too. My parents and I went ahead and did the "park" part of the celebration. They all had a great time even though we missed Amanda!
Let the battle begin. Anna is my most feisty child. Here she is chasing Chris down because he had the nerve to play with her Diego ball. It's a good thing Chris is feisty too. He can hold his own with Anna just fine.
Leah and her American Idol.
Anna...doesn't she look sweet??

Chocolate cupcakes with blue sprinkles. Does it get much better?
Day of beauty. Leah and Raychel.
Grant and Anna. He's so kind to share and make everyone feel so special and loved. We love our Grant!

Last week was so much fun! It was my mom's spring break, and we've started this tradition of getting away...just the girls. This year we went to San Fransisco. My mom was asking me, "What do you want to do while we're there?" I said, "All I care about doing is eating, sleeping and shopping in peace!" Mission: Accomplished. We left Sunday night and came home Tuesday night. I laughed SO hard! I'm glad James sees the importance of this time away for me. He's the best! Amy has copy written all the California pictures. Go to May's blog for a synopsis of girls weekend.

Tuesday night we got home, then early Wednesday morning we packed up and headed to "Same George." The girls did great in the car. Anna and Leah were terrible sleepers the entire trip, however. That would be the only downfall, though. It was fun to celebrate Jacob's 4th birthday together. James got to have a nice, peaceful 5 days without his girls. I think he might have actually missed us...

I love Raychel's face in the cookie/cowboy hat picture. I am glad you had a little vacation. I think you and I need to go old school one day and do a little shopping, we have not done that in FOREVER!
