Beautiful Disaster

Just to give you an idea how EVERY SINGLE shelf looked when I took off it's contents.
Damage. The toy and book baskets were filled with powder as well.

Clean at last. This just gives you an idea of how many shelves and items there were to clean.

Let me start by saying I'm not a fan of this song, but when I saw this destruction, the chorus of this song played over and over in my head (It's a serious throw back to my high school days...right Lindsay?). I was spending my Saturday afternoon cutting hair...my dad at the time of this mess. I was cutting, and I look up and notice my eyes are a little cloudy. I blink. I blink again. Still cloudy. I take my glasses off and look to see if they are dirty. They aren't. I thought, "Oh no! I'm getting cataracts!" I said to James, "Is it cloudy in there or is it me?" He walks in the living room to see Raychel squeezing the baby power bottle while the twins are "blowing" the dust and running through the thick cloud. So I had no choice but to take everything apart and clean it. This has taken more than two hours of my day. The bright side? Everything is really clean now, and my house smells as fresh as a baby's butt.

haha Alison you crack me up with your cataracts! Song totally reminds me of high school. When I feel nostalgic for you I always listen to Third Eye Blind or Sarah. I forgot about this song though :-)

Ok. That first picture totally freaked me out. I thought you had a fire or something! Thank goodness it was just powder and not smoke damage.

That is too funny. Who would have thought it would leave that much dust. Way to look on the bright side - getting things clean.
