Beautiful Savior

This is one of my most favorite paintings. I love the way Mary is holding the baby Jesus. It feels so real to me.

"He was the lowly babe who came to Earth in the meridian of time and brought to us the gift of Christmas. This is what Christmas is really about." Gordon B. Hinckley
I love Christmas time! I can easily say that it is my favorite time of the year. I love the music of the season, the giving spirit, and the thoughts that are turned to our Savior. How fortunate we are that He chose to come to Earth, show us how to live and atone for our sins. Yesterday, we received a UPS box on our front doorstep. I feel so silly for how excited I get when the UPS guy comes to my door...especially when I know I haven't ordered anything. Our dear friends, the Turemans, sent the girls this darling little nativity to play with. My girls have absolutely loved it. Raychel has sang songs about Jesus as she plays with the pieces. Very sweet. Anna has enjoyed studying each of the pieces. And Tinkerbell has to be a part of the scene as well! Thank you, Cecilee for giving this gift to my girls! Listen to this entire song. I love it!

Anna was so cute studying each of the pieces.

Raychel explaining the story to Anna

Raychel has been playing with this nativity for over an hour now.

Did you know Tinkerbell was present too? Maybe only in the Roylance version. Yes, Leah's little Tinkerbell doll was riding the donkey and visiting with the wise men.

I love those paintings too. I love how they depict a loving family who just welcomed this sweet little baby to earth. So tender.

How nice of the Turemans! I want to get one for the boys this year. One that will stay standing after little boys are done playing with it. :)

Ali those pictures of your girls are so sweet and to listen to the music while you are looking at them reminds me of how exciting Christmas is when you are kid. You are lucky for exciting Christmas morning with your babies.

I'm so glad you liked the nativity! My girls just loved it last year.

The pictures you posted are so pretty! I haven't seen those. I love the one with Mary holding Jesus.
