5 Point Buck...Ali Style :-)

A girl needs shoes for all occasions.
The striped sweaters on the left were purchased at Old Navy for 97 cents! Of course I bought one in every color!

So the other day I was scavenging through the clothes at the local Goodwill (love that place!), and I came across this little tee-shirt. Scrawled across the front it said: No One Cares About Your Blog! I had to laughed and thought to myself, "Should I take this as a sign?" I guess it doesn't matter if no one cares about my blog...I care about it, and I'm hoping my great-great-great grandchildren care about it one day too! Of course by that time the blog will be categorized into volumes...ha ha!

Well, I guess i have to admit that I lied. I actually love to hunt. Hunt for good deals (har har). I could make shopping a competitive sport, I swear. So the other day I was getting out Raychel's school clothes to wash and organize. I could not believe how much I had bought (I started shopping in January of this year, mind you). I was taking tags off, and I decided to add up what I had spent. Let me break it down: 13 pairs of shoes, 6 sweaters, 5 hoodies, 22 shirts, and 7 bottoms. The grand total was $168.93. I was quite proud of myself. If I had bought these items at regular price, the total would have been $572.92. I didn't pay over $5 for a single item!

Now you might be saying, "Why on earth does a 4 year old need so many clothes for preschool?!" My answer, because she is my kid! A little background...when Raychel was so sick in the hospital, the only control (way I felt like a "mom") I had was pumping breast milk and dressing her in cute clothes. I promised my girl while she was in the NICU: Every week you stay alive in this place, I will buy you a new outfit. She not only lived, but she is also thriving better than anyone could have ever imagined. Of course she deserves to look good! PLUS the twins are in the same size as Raychel now, so they all share clothes. It's actually a wardrobe for all three girls.

Ok this will be filed under: "Things only I care about."

Don't think nobody cares! We are not all James. ha ha We all care.... Your blog is one of my absolute favorites to read. Maybe that's because you are one of my favorite people. ;o)

Wish I were there to shop with you. I don't do near as well by myself. You were always my good luck shopping charm. How nice that all your girls are the same size!

Thanks ladies! It's great to have such wonderful friends! Yes, It's wonderful to have the girls wearing the same size. The twins wear smaller pants and shoes, but tops are the same. Raychel will start school September 2, snd she will go 4 days a week. Totally excited. She needs better stimuli than me!

Ali, I look forward to your blog. Everyday I take a break from work and look at the pictures and read your funny stories and it makes my day. Thank you for having it, it definitely is a highlight.

I love that Raychel has 13 pairs of shoes, I am totally laughing, she is so lucky to have a mom with such a sense of fashion.
