A Warning To All Shoppers In The Area:

"Don't bug me."

If you come up to my cart to say "hi", please do not expect a sweet little "hello" back. Most likely you will be greeted with a scowl like the one shown above. Please do not take it personally.

So don't you love when your kids are completely uncooperative about being polite? We made a visit to Costco yesterday. We usually get some attention since I have more kids in my cart than groceries. All of these sweet, little elderly people come over to the twins to say hi. Leah always says hello and is very kind. Anna gives the stink eye. I'll be like, "Anna can't you say 'hello'?" She then turns and gives me the nasty look and shakes her head no (this happens often). I'm speechless. You don't mess with the Professional Attitude.

I think if people see you attempting to get your toddler to be polite, that's enough. It's the parents who think it's "cute" when their toddler is rude that is annoying to me. It's obvious you are teaching them manners and it's obvious that they're gonna do what they want! People understand if they've ever been around a toddler. Don't worry, you're doing great!!
