Sheeee's a big gurl!

In case you're wondering, yes, she is totally serious about that outfit. I think the boots just make it sparkle and shine. :-) You always need to wear your cowgirl boots in 90 degree weather!
The perfect "R" so proud!
"Raychel"

This is what Raychel would always say to the twins when they would do something "big." "Sheeee's-a-biggurl!"
Raychel gets special treatment when her sisters go down for naps. There are special toys that she can only play with during this time. Examples: Polly Pockets (a favorite), Barbie that has the pooping dog, Little Sprouts and the dry erase board. Today we were working on writing her name. She did pretty good. I am a little worried however because she is WAY overboard on the perfectionist side. She would like have a full on anxiety attack if her letters were not perfect. I just kept saying "It's OK! We can try again!" She also didn't like me to watch her. I guess I make the experience more intense or something. It's so exciting watching my girls grow!

Is that make-up I see? She looks totally cute. Don't you love it when they start doing "big kid" stuff? I like the idea of special time while the younger ones are down for a nap. We should do that too.

HA HA! Nope, no makeup. It's just 93 degrees here today. :-) Poor Raych (well, poor all my girls), they inherited my red skin tones!

You gotta love when kids dress themselves. Okay, maybe it's a 3 year old girl thing, but Kate is totally like that. She gets soooo upset if her letters (and everything else) are not perfect. She just turned 4 yrs old 5 days ago so we'll see if it'll change. hmmm.

"Special" toys are a fantastic idea. She is writing very well. Good for her!

Carrie,
I'm glad to know your daughter has the same "perfectionist" complex. I feel so bad that she gets so frustrated. You will have to let me know about any tricks that help, and I'll do the same!
