Forever

How cute is Anna's smiling face?

Anna and Leah were not happy about being forced to pose.

I wanted to show how beautiful all the flags waving looked. This is as good as I could get.

PS That is Anna pulling the flag out of my Nana and Papa's grave site (you can see her head in the corner). We put it back, but I know my Nana would have totally said, "Oh hell, just let her have the thing!"

Normally, I do not like the cheese-tastic LDS singer, Michael McLain, but I do love his song
Together Forever. It goes something like this...
Well, It's hard to say goodbye and let go
And it's hard to see it end...
But we can be together forever someday.

I was thinking about that song today as we visited my Nana and Papa's grave site. It was a perfect day. Cool and cloudy. The cemetery looked beautiful with all of the flags flying at each site (it's a veterans cemetery). I was happy to take my girls there to place flowers. I felt my Nana's pride in her posterity. I hope she can see that all of her sacrifices made throughout her life have totally paid off. The lessons she taught, the songs she sang, the love she gave is continuing generation to generation. I can see my mom being the same kind of Nana my Nana would be proud of...as in spoiling her grandchildren rotten (not only spoiling with gifts, but tons of love, hugs and kisses as well)!

I am so thankful to know that death is only temporary. I am so thankful for the Savior. He conquered death, so we can live again. And live with our families forever! I am excited for the day when my Nana can take each one of my babies in her arms and kiss them and squeeze them and pat them on the butt. Maybe I am excited for her to do that to me too. :-)

I was there today, too. All those flags looked amazing. I didn't know it was the "veterans" cemetery.

Ok, I am so crying. I wish I could have been there with you too. I was laughing too at your "nana" comment. She so would have said that! I'm suprised mom didn't say it :) I know Nana would be proud of all of us and the families we are raising.
