I am just sitting here enjoying the sounds of evening...quiet. Today was Sunday, and let me tell you, Sundays are very hectic for me. It's just hard to entertain 3 little girls during Sacrament meeting. Especially since they are becoming so vocal! Raychel needs to "just go potty" every 2 minutes, and Leah is a major screamer! So buy the end of the block I find myself saying "ok that was a total nightmare."
BUT there is usually one thing that happens that totally shifts my mood. Today it was my Raychel. She has had a difficult transition into Sunbeams. That means LOTS of crying. James or I usually sit with her until she calms down. Today during the transition (I had to leave for young womens and get James), a primary worker held her and tried to calm her. I guess Raychel was crying then looked her and said "I am a Child of God." I was so proud of my girl! She is so young and so innocent, but totally gets "it." I am so thankful for the Gospel. Thankful to have the blessings of it to pass to my children. Thankful Raychel can recognize that spirit and it can bring peace to her little heart.
Today in primary Raychel was also asked to be the "reverent child" in opening exercises. Ok, she ate that attention up! She stood like stone with her arms folded. She took that job extremely seriously! Then her face lit up when the piano player started to play "I Love to See the Temple." She sang every word of that song! I could have never imagined how much joy I would receive being a mother! I love my family, and I am so thankful for the restored Gospel of Jesus Christ and the blessings it brings to my life. That was what I learned, yet again, today.
